Translating Your Documents into English
It is essential to supply all your documents with your application for an Australian Visa in English. This article describes what you need to do if your official documents need to be translated.
Translations within Australia
If you are in Australia at the time you are preparing your application documents and your personal information is not available in English, you will need to have them translated by a translator accredited by the National Accreditation Authority of Institute of Translators and Interpreters.
Translations outside Australia
If you are outside Australia at the time you are preparing materials for your application, you need to contact an Australian Mission in your country such as an Australian Consulate or Embassy. They will give you advice and provide you with authorised translators.
Original language documents
When you send documents with your application forms, you must provide the relevant documents in the original language as well as the translated documents. You can find more Translation Help on the DIAC website.
