We often hear about Western Australia and Queensland being the leading states in the resources boom. The Northern Territories is also a mining state that jobseekers should consider. Next month,
NT Resources Week is being hosted in Darwin combining excellent opportunities for people working in mining and oil and gas careers. It’s also presenting a free expo for anyone wanting to find out more about working in the resources industry.
Two events for the price of one
NT Resources Week combines two major events:
- Mining the Territory 2012 - The six annual event will bring together the major players in the mining industry including opinion leaders and subject matter experts to give you everything you need to know about exploration, investment and development in the “Top End” of the resources industry. Over 800 key representatives will be in attendance throughout the week to create an ideal networking opportunity.
- 2012 South East Asia Australian Offshore Conference (SEAAOC) - The international gas market is under the spotlight as the entire Australasian oil and gas industry will be on hand. In depth sessions on shale gas and how the North American shale boom is going to impact on Asian and Australian LNG markets will be explored. Additional workshops and master classes are also being held. SEAAOC is the region's largest and longest established petroleum conference.
Free expo (perfect for jobseekers)
The conference also hosts a free exhibition open to anyone who
registers on the website. It’s an excellent way to make contacts and speak with people in the industry. Have a look at this short video to give you an idea what to expect:
